“I
very much enjoyed the time I spent learning at LUBS. Now I am studying
to be a teacher myself at Kitwe Teacher Training College. I would
like to come back and teach at my old school.”

Kaloko
Trust supports education in Zambia by running
a sponsorship scheme for two schools - Luansobe Upper Basic School
and Kaloko Crèche.
Sponsorship money means that over 800 children in the
Luansobe area can receive an education, vital for the progress
of an impoverished rural community.
The minimum monthly donation for the School Sponsorship
Scheme is £13 to sponsor a class at Luansobe Upper Basic
School and £10 to sponsor the Kaloko Crèche. This
is approximately what it costs per head to support these children
in education.
We urgently need more sponsors. We have over 800 children currently
supported in education by Kaloko, but only 250 sponsors donating
money. Sign up now!.

“Kaloko
Trust has given me a great start in life. I graduated from Luansobe
Upper Basic School in 1998, and I’m currently in my final
year of a Diploma in Forestry at Kitwe University. I am grateful
for the sponsorship scheme, and continue to correspond with supporters
in the UK.”
